An inquiry into the phenomenon of hierophanies, a term coined by philosopher Mircea Eliade to refer to an awareness of the sacred when it manifests itself through various parts of our regular cosmos: a tree, a sunset, a body of water, etc.
Beyond its form as a mode of personal reflection, this zine acts as a prompt to remain open, present and attentive. It also plays a role in the ongoing practice of deepening my appreciation of, and sensitivity to, the environments and communities I’m a part of.
